Large and bright piece of fluorescent sodalite from Greenland. The bluish area displays some interesting phosphorescence – we don’t usually see this in pieces with Greenland sodalite. Very unique stuff.This piece is a very bright piece under shortwave, midwave and longwave UV light. The longwave fluorescence is knock-your-socks-off bright. The blue could likely be analcime.

This sodalite on this specimen has some tenebrescence as shown in the animated GIF below.
