A spectacular 4-color rock from the famous Franklin Mine. Large and beautiful deep violet-blue hardystonite from the famous Franklin Mine. This is a spectacular specimen also containing orange clinohedrite, reddish-orange calcite, green willemite, and non-fluorescent franklinite. Full of rich color.
The orange clinohedrite is nicely phosphorescent as shown in the images.
The Franklin and Sterling Hill mines in New Jersey are famous around the world for their bright and colorful fluorescent minerals. In fact, this area has been deemed the “Fluorescent Mineral Capital of the World”.
Small delicate crystals of bright green fluorescing quartz are peppered around a matrix of calcite on this striking specimen.
