Incredible specimen with full coverage. Bright blue analcime covers both sides of this rock varying from a deep blue to a light blue. Tugtupite along with chkalovite (the rarer pearly white variety Ð a classic example of how tugtupite replaces chkalovite). Very unique material, it comes from the same area as Fantasy Rock and is only missing sodalite to qualify as a true blood FR.
"Red" Sodalite (Hackmanite) - Deeply Tenebrescent Greenland Mineral
Red sodalite is named for the color it takes on when exposed to sunlight; it is nicely tenebrescent under longwave UV. Under shortwave UV the color deepens, in seconds, to almost black in some areas.
