Well-formed afghanite crystals fluorescent a yellow-brown under LW and calcite on a matrix with diopside. The diopside bluish white under SW. We prefer displaying these specimens under fullwave (FW) as that makes each corresponding mineral pop, but they are respectable under any wavelength. The matrix which the calcite and afghanite sits on appears to be massive diopside, both crystals and massive.
