Greenland
Greenland is home to over 250 varieties of minerals. Many of them are fluorescent and new ones are being discovered each year. Tugtupite is perhaps the most famous mineral from Greenland - famous for its deep saturated red glow. Sodalite (var hackmanite) has become famous in the past few years as one of the deepest “color-change” varieties found and is always in great demand. Other rarities include chkalovite, ussingite, sorensenite, polylithionite, analcime, and more. Many of these are tenebrescent, phosphorescent, and have varied responses under multiple wavelengths. All are excessively rare.

High on the Taseq Slope there is a deposit of very unique tugtupite. It occurs as veins in an analcime matrix, often with lujavrite. One of the very unique characteristics of this material is that it is often filled with vugs containing micro-crystals of tugtupite - this piece is no exception. There are several vugs with great little crystals - the ultimate rarity in tugtupites.
