Greenland
Greenland is home to over 250 varieties of minerals. Many of them are fluorescent and new ones are being discovered each year. Tugtupite is perhaps the most famous mineral from Greenland - famous for its deep saturated red glow. Sodalite (var hackmanite) has become famous in the past few years as one of the deepest “color-change” varieties found and is always in great demand. Other rarities include chkalovite, ussingite, sorensenite, polylithionite, analcime, and more. Many of these are tenebrescent, phosphorescent, and have varied responses under multiple wavelengths. All are excessively rare.

We’ve given this material the nickname “Red Sodalite” because it turns red when exposed to sunlight. Normally white (if left in the dark for a long time) it quickly changes color upon exposure to sunlight or LW UV. When exposed to SW UV it changes to a deep purple.
