One area on the Taseq Slope produces a very unique variety of tugtupite in analcime. The tugtupite appears as veins within an analcime matrix, and pieces are often found with numerous vugs containing micro crystals of tugtupite.
This tugtupite is typically pink in natural color and can be quite tenebrescent. The glow is similar to other varieties of tugtupite - bright red under SW and salmon under LW. Phosphorescence is variable between pieces. The analcime matrix is often quite fluorescent (a bright green) probably due to an impurity in the analcime.
A few speicmens have been found consiting of tugtupite and chkalovite, and often sodalite. These are much rarer but can be quite striking.
