Locales

Taseq Slopes - A rather gentle “slope”, but a long hike from anywhere - especially when carrying a full backpack. Access to the slopes is via truck into the complex, than across a river (bridge or wader boots), and a hike to the 500m level.

Kvanefjeld - across from the Taseq Slopes but much more verticle. An abandoned mine road leads halfway up from which it’s a 200m climb to the summit.

Kangerluarssaq and Tunuliarfik - Access only by boat with some tricky landings. Kangerluarssaq is a rather level area - but quite expansive, with lots of cliffs to explore.

Tunuliarfik has several very productive areas, all up a few hundred meters - an interesting climb.

Nighttime collecting - It gets dark around 11pm, and light again around 2am.
