Getting Around

Travel in Greenland is mostly by boat. You will arrive in Narsarsuaq and either take a helicopter to Narsaq or take the ferry. Optionally we will travel to Narsaq via small boat - 2 if required.

First icebergs - on the way to Nuuk we got our first views of the fantastic scenery ahead. Icebergs floating in endless blue fjords, glaciers “birthing” icebergs - dumping them into the oceans

The helicopter to Narsaq!

There are a couple of major airports in Greenland; Narsarsuak in the south, and Stromsfjord in the far north. Passenger jets can land at these airports. The remaining cities have either small landing strips or helipads.

Narsaq Airport - The Narsaq airport sits in the shadow of Illimaussaq (and - is nothing more than a heli-pad).

No metal detectors, no armed guards, no signs saying you can’t park...
