“Fantasy Rock” is a nickname given to a variety of combination specimens found on the Taseq Slope in one particular locale. These specimens are richly covered with several different minerals - not usually encountered (together in one specimen) in other areas. Typically they will have bright red FL tugtupite, bright orange sodalite, bright blue/white analcime. In addition, select pieces will have chkalovite (FL white, blue, or green), polylithionite (yellow), natrolite (green) and more...
The occurrence of tugtupite and sodalite on the same specimens is rarely found outside of these pieces, but even on these pieces rarely will one find sodalite and tugtupite sharing a distinct boundary. Usually both the sodalite and tugtupite on these pieces is quite tenebrescent.
The Fantasy Rock series is probably the most complex assemblage of minerals found in the complex to date.
